Stanley Clarke, Bela Fleck, and Jean Luc-Ponty
Jude and I enjoyed a fabulous concert ff the Stanley Clarke, Bela Fleck, and Jean Luc-Ponty acoustic trio at the Atlanta Symphony Hall.
Aside from the loud mouthed fan behind us who kept yelling "Give it to us Stanley" and "Oh yeah" it was a fantastic event.
I've been a huge fan of Clarke's phenomenal bass playing talent and Jean Luc-Ponty since the Boston music scene of the '70's, and of course have loved Bela Fleck's work since the Flecktones first came to Athens, GA.
Clarke's "Song to John" remains one of my all time favorite fusion tunes.
