Excellent Film Noir effectively performed. Directed by William Friedkin, (The Excorcist, To Live and Die in L.A.), and starring Charles McGraw, Marie Windsor, and Jacqueline White, this original offers much more meat to sink your teeth into than the 1990 remake with Gene Hackman and Anne Archer
