Almost Human (1974)
IMDB: Almost Human (1974)
Even with Henry Silva, this film was unwatcheable -- not scary, not thrilling, no characters worth caring for -- sorry.

Opera (1987)
IMDB: Opera (1987)
Only a few scenes worth mentioning with regard to horror -- perhaps this wasn't the D'argento I should have started with, but it was quite tame for my tastes.

I really wanted to like this film, but other than looking good on celluoid, there's really not much to say.

The King of New York (1990)

Two words: Christopher Walken -- pretty hard to make a crime drama that doesn't work with this guy. :-)

Love Liza (2002)
IMDB: Love Liza (2002)
Although quite dark in theme, once again Phillip Seymore Hoffman, arguably the best thespian of the day, portrays a strongly disturbed and hurt character with passion and grace.

I Spit on Your Grave (1978)
IMDB: I Spit on Your Grave (1978)
Without a doubt, the *best* women's gonzo revenge film to date. Mostly criticized for its anti-woman theme, it's difficult to find an audience that doesn't want to cheer when Camille Keaton's character gets back at the lower forms of life.

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)
IMDB: Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)
This classic last stand Alamo in the city drama was John Carpenter's lighthouse beacon to the world that he was a filmmaker to be reckoned with.

So slow I couldn't stay away through it.

Great 'Bad Boys' fare with Gene Hackman being the true scum of the earth and Lee Marvin as hitman seeking redemption.

Beautiful Creatures (2000)
IMDB: Four Brothers (2005)
A little slow moving, but not to be discarded as another in the line of 'girls get back atchya' films

Four Brothers (2005)
IMDB: Four Brothers (2005)
The Boyz n the Hood director does an ok family revenge movie. Wahlberg is tolerable, but suspension of disbelief is a requirement for what transpires.
