I really enjoyed this film as a kid, and this re-watching of it didn't give me the same thrill -- somewhat perhaps because the I believe in this rare case that the remake "Switch" with Ellen Barkin and Jimmy Smits is a better telling of the story.
Put it this way - I probably won't have the desire to re-watch Goodbye Charlie anytime soon, but could watch "Switch" repeatedly.
