The Devil's Rejects (2005)

IMDB: The Devil's Rejects (2005)

A much more polished sequal to the, at times, somewhat jarring House of 1000 Corpses, Rob Zombie's latest feature brings back the funhouse of gore and violence (mostly the latter this time around) and of course, those darkly disturbed monsters Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding.

Again, this is a very extreme film, most definitely not for the squeamish, but a rock solid entertainment for certain.

Without a doubt, The best Batman movie to date.

Capote (2005)

IMDB: Capote (2005)

Once again, Philip Seymour Hoffman demonstrates why he is, in my opinion, the greatest actor of our time. I don't think there is a limit to the range of characters Hoffman can portray.

He performs as Capote with such detail and nuance, it's a pleasure to watch.

Naked Killer / Chiklo gouyeung (1992)

IMDB: Naked Killer / Chiklo gouyeung (1992)

The enticement of a movie about gorgeous asian lipstick lesbian assassins was too much too resist... I wish I had. Action scenes were few and sloppy, sex scenes were non-existant, dialogue and script were a mess.

Hide and Seek / Cord (2000)

IMDB: Hide and Seek / Cord (2000)

Without paying attention I put Hide and Seek in my Blockbuster Online Queue, thinking it was the Robert DeNiro supernatural film, but received instead this one.

After watching it for 15 minutes, I thought it sucked and popped it out of the player. A month later I decided to give it a fair chance and am glad I did.

Jennifer Tilly is *so* way over the top in this, that she makes watching the film worthwhile.

Dazed and Confused (1993)

IMDB: Dazed and Confused (1993)

Most definitely is not The Breakfast Club. Worthless waste of film.

The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

IMDB: The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

Drive-In Movie Horror/Camp at its finest. Michael Berryman is one whacky freakazoid.

Prizzi's Honor (1985)

IMDB: Prizzi's Honor (1985)

Jack Nicholson & Kathleen Turner portray the (almost) perfect married hitman team.

Save the Green Planet / Jigureul jikyeora! (2003)

IMDB: Save the Green Planet / Jigureul jikyeora! (2003)

Beekeeper kidnaps and tortures CEO he believes is an alien from Andromeda. Is he nuts, or are we being invaded?

Home for the Holidays (1995)

IMDB: Home for the Holidays (1995)

Decent Holiday fare in this, Jodie Foster's 2nd directorial film effort.

Jackie Brown (1997)

IMDB: Jackie Brown (1997)

As much as I love Tarantino's stuff, and the cast is fantastic, but this has to be one of the lesser works of Quentin. Sorry...

Fever Pitch (2005)

IMDB: Fever Pitch (2005)

This was a truly sweet romantic comedy as well as a fun baseball fan movie all rolled into one.

Barrymore & Fallon make a great couple.

A 10 on the Chick Flick meter.

Let's just not go and see it, and say we did. Much wannabee here, but totally unmemorable.

The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976)

IMDB: The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976)

Jodie Foster makes her first thriller/suspense/horror outing at 13 in this story of a girl who lives with her father in a leased farmhouse, although nobody ever actually *sees* her father.

And don't be looking in the basement....

Martin Sheen as the pedophile is probably type casting, but that's another story.

The Petrified Forest (1936)

IMDB: The Petrified Forest (1936)

Humphrey Bogart (in a character role he played on stage) is intense as Duke Mantee -- based on John Dillinger, in this great crime drama. I haven't watched this since college, but seeing Betty Davis give cow eyes to Leslie Howard is a hard image to forget.
